My Project

I have taught yoga in the past as something we do during the rainy seasons, and am excited to bring it back into my PE curriculum. These yoga mats will live at our school site and be used by a new group of students each year.

Yoga is a great way to not only build flexibility and contribute to our physical health, but it also is connected to students' mental wellbeing, incorporating breathing techniques and healthy meditation.

Our students here at Weller Elementary, are extremely active and school is the main place where many of these kids have access to new sports and new physical challenges. This will be a great opportunity to bring something new to the curriculum that many PE curriculums may not have.
