This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love to bring yoga and meditation to my fourth grade students as they navigate the complicated world we are living in. Through the practices of yoga and mindfulness my students will learn to give their brains and bodies a break which I hope it will transcend the walls of our classroom onto the broader community.

The practice of mindfulness is an essential skill that will benefit my students emotional and therefore academic lives for years.

This project will help students learn tools and skills that help them manage stress, develop mind-body awareness, and grow in self-regulation, social/emotional well-being, and physical fitness.
