This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Your donation will give our students a set of dumb bells, yoga mats and yoga mat cleaner. These supplies will be used with students in guided lessons with the intention of helping students to learn calming and self regulating techniques. Students have expressed feeling stressed out and many struggle to practice effective calming techniques.
We are starting an after school club to help students find their inner peace and balance through healthy movement and breathing techniques.
Our students will be guided through beginner yoga poses and breathing exercises, weight lifting and other physical exercises to help them gain better stress relief techniques.
