My Students

All students deserve access to the best instructional materials regardless of their poverty level, race, or disability. As a collaborative teacher in a very old and decaying building, we will be assigned to a group of students that we hope will show much potential to meet and exceed the expectations we have for them as third grade students. We enjoy providing engaging and interesting lessons and activities that involve their ability to hold, handle, and manipulate materials. In light of the pandemic, this year we will need to ensure that each student will have their own supplies to reduce any sharing which can cause illnesses to spread quickly.

We need to let the light to shine on these little souls that lack stimulating environments to enhance their classroom experience and learning.

Our students with disabilities are fully integrated into this class and are living up to the same expectation for success. Too often our inner city students miss out on the materials that other "privileged" schools are provided. Please consider helping us to provide for our students by fulfilling this classroom request.

My Project

As an inner city district, often our students arrive to school on the first day with little to no supplies, and after a full year of virtual instruction, we want our students ready to begin the year off right. We will need to ensure that we are safely utilizing what we have by allowing students to have their own basic supplies that will not need to be shared.

Many items are cheaper for teachers to purchase ourselves, but often the expense gets greater and greater each passing year and we need help to ensure we begin day one with what we need!

Now that we must keep each students supplies separated to reduce the risk of any virus exposure, we need to equip our room with bins for each student. We also would like to ensure that each student has a pencil pouch to contain all of their necessary writing/school supplies.

Our kids deserve a clean start! The last 18 months has been traumatic for everyone, but our kids need to be together and need to be learning in a traditional classroom to make gains to fill all the gaps!
