This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine having the world at your fingertips...Oh, the places we'll go!! I am amazed at what students and teachers can achieve with our VERY limited resources. So I am very excited to see what can be achieved with the use of Tablets in our classroom. The possibilities are endless!

Our school is in a low income community and the resources are limited.

My classroom has very old computers that are always breaking down. The software is out of date and they cannot access most interactive websites. Nevertheless, my students are so grateful for any computer time they get. They are very patient and appreciative. Despite the many setbacks, our students have shown so much progress over the past few years. With the hard work of teachers, administrators, and support staff, our CST scores have increased significantly. I believe in our students. That is why I am asking for Tablets. I know their learning will soar with the use of up to date technology that will meet ALL individual needs. I also believe in our teachers, parents, and community. We have shown that we can achieve. We can achieve despite many setbacks. But with the proper resources, like Tablets, I am confident that our students can SOAR!

My Project

My students need 2 Tablets in the classroom to reinforce their learning in an engaging and interactive way. The tablets will the used by the students. They will be used to meet their individual needs by using fun and engaging apps and websites. Students will be eager to read words, study math facts, and even learn a new language. They will be having so much fun, they will not even realize they are studying!

Despite what may be going on at home, students will be looking forward to come to school.

They will be excited to have their Tablet time. They will learn responsibility. The advantages of having Tablets are endless, for teachers and students alike. The Tablets will inspire a deeper curiosity to the world around them. They will take them places that they have never been able to go to before. And invoke a deeper understanding of the technological world that we live in.
