My Project

In my Physical and Health Education classes students learn skills that can benefit them for a lifetime. Some of these health habits were lost during the Covid 19 pandemic. With new engaging equipment, I can motivate students to work hard and find enjoyment in physical activity. One activity I’ll be able to teach is cardio drumming with a good speaker and hands free mic. Students develop physical strength in my fitness classes and new exciting challenges can be created with the TRX body weight band and core sliders. KanJam is an active group game. I currently only have enough games for 12 students to play. The need for 3 more would double student participation. Students also learn individual physical and mental skills including archery. Replacement arrows are needed to keep this unit going. Health education is a requirement in these PE classes. During a nutrition unit, students have the opportunity to learn cooking skills with the kitchen supplies we can get. Through engaging lessons using art supplies and fidget rewards, students enhance their physical, mental, and social skills. During Covid 19, as a teacher, I learned the importance of students having confidence to be in control of their wellness. These new supplies can help give this confidence to hundreds of students.
