My Project

My students come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. In both our classroom and quiet learning corner, my students sometimes struggle with a range of learning disabilities in addition to the many external stressors they face on a daily basis. Our school and district provide what they can, but unfortunately lack the resources to provide these amazing students with the educational and technology materials they need and deserve.

My students have the will, desire, and drive, but are missing the necessary tools to achieve success.

Financial Literacy is not only required in our state but our students need to be competitive in a 21st Century, global economy. To help achieve this goal, this iPad with adapters and case will allow students to be active participants in the learning process rather than passive recipients of information, which would ensure they develop a better depth of knowledge of the concepts they are learning. It also allows for differentiation not only on the basis of academic levels but for interests as well. My students need an iPad to help them gain the skills that will enable them to compete in a 21st century, global economy. The iPad will allow us to load financial literacy, consumerism, and economic as well as business and personal finance apps that my students would otherwise not have access to.

Using the iPad in a collaborative learning environment for researching, writing, and practicing personal finance skills will help to foster student creativity, collaboration, and communication.

The use of the iPad in our classroom allows instruction to be highly customizable; students can work independently or collaboratively as active participants in the learning process rather than simply sitting and getting. Thank you for your support.
