Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am incredibly fortunate to work with a group of creative, passionate, and hardworking students in my yearbook class. Each student brings a unique perspective, contributing their ideas and talents to create something meaningful that reflects our school’s spirit. What makes them special is their dedication to capturing memories and showcasing the diversity and unity of our school community. The computer I am requesting will provide the tools needed to bring their ideas to life. With access to editing software and digital design tools, they will be able to collaborate on yearbook layouts, edit photos, create digital content, and incorporate school themes into their designs. For example, they will use graphic design software to customize pages, design photo collages, and digitize handwritten student interviews and event write-ups.

My goal for this project is to empower my students to take full ownership of the yearbook creation process, ensuring it reflects the unique experiences of our school community.

The computer will help them improve their digital design, teamwork, and communication skills while allowing them to work at their own pace. By contributing to this project, students will learn important technical skills, collaborate effectively, and create a lasting and meaningful memory for the entire school. This resource will not only enhance the quality of the yearbook but also leave a positive impact on our school for years to come.
