Year Round Greenhouse at School

My Project

The greenhouse in our school does not contain any lights. We recently purchased IBC tanks and have converted them into grow beds to use floating rafts, to save on the expense of clay pebbles. The big problem with our greenhouse is that is does not contain lights and therefore from late fall through early spring time, there is not enough natural light during the day to allow for plants to grow properly. With your support and donation, these lights will enable my students to utilize our school's greenhouse during this time every year and get to fully learn how to grow in a greenhouse during the school year. Without these lights the amount of daylight does not enable them to grow anything in the greenhouse during the majority of the school year. The Rockwool and Foam boards will be used to float the plants on the surface of the water and the roots to grow down into the grow nutrient solution.
