This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Classroom supplies play an integral part in the smooth functioning of an effective classroom system! There is a high need for consistent classroom supplies in my school including markers, pencils, printing papers, dry erasers, crayons, art supplies, etc. For example, we use worksheets for small group instruction which requires paper, colored pencils, laminated scaffolds, etc. I use a multisensory approach in my teaching to support my diverse groups of learners. Some kiddos enjoy learning when it is tied in with a fun hands-on art activity, while others enjoy a kinesthetic activity tied into their learning!

I teach K-2 students with special needs in a low-income predominantly black neighborhood.

For a lot of my students, these are the only supplies available to them to have an effective and meaningful learning experience.

My kiddos are bright, energetic, and eager to learn; I want to provide them with the right tools to support their learning. Your generous donations will not only have a huge impact in our classroom BUT support building the future of our country!
