My Project

I am asking for your help to give students in a low income neighborhood access to high quality cameras for them to be able to produce a yearbook. This is my third year teaching at this school, and I noticed that at the end of every year, there was no yearbook. Yearbooks store pictures that have meaningful memories filled with accomplishments and fun events.They also give students direction of what they want to do later in life.

This is a school in the low income neighborhood of Brownsville, Brooklyn, NY where students here deserve as much opportunities as students middle class and affluent neighborhoods.

We are a community school that gets visits from members and leaders of the community. We also have a computer science team at our school. Donors, your added contribution would help turn lives around and gives students ideas of what they can do in their future.

Students having these DSLR cameras in their hands would inspire them to become photographers in the later future. This opens them up to possibilities of having a side career in entrepreneurship. Please help me to be able to get students access to these DSLR cameras. The sooner they have access to these cameras, the sooner you can see the results of your charitable work. I cannot express enough of how excited I am to see these students take on their first active role as 9-10 year-olds begin their first yearbook production experience. It starts with you, donors. When are yearbook is completed, we would like to include you in a section that thanks you for your wonderful contribution, even if it has to be handwritten in.
