Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 24 bilingual students that are on different English proficiency levels and with different academic needs. I have students with special needs (i.e. speech impairment, ADHD, dyslexia, homeless, etc), At-Risk and students that are performing above grade level.

Students look forward to utilizing technology in the classroom.

Preparing students for the future is one of my top priorities. Many of my students do not have access to technology in their homes and their only access to them is in school.

My Project

Technology is embedded into the lessons to get students to become comfortable with this platform. Students get to practice skills and concepts learned and to venture into areas that extend the lesson. For example, if we are studying marine life, the students are able to go on a virtual tour and interact with a marine biologist.

Students have access to different computer software that has animated effects and sound, by having students use their own headphones will facilities their learning.

Education Galaxy is one software that students use with animated effects and sounds. Students work at their own level and at their own pace, so headphones are essentials.
