Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The young artists in YADP are amazingly talented inner city children. Many of them live day to day facing unthinkable odds. Neighborhood violence, one parent homes, low income families, etc. However, they still find a way to shine bright and share what makes them beautiful! These kids are stars!

In YADP our talented young artists learn creative writing/spoken word, singing/songwriting, rapping, and dancing.

As the performing arts teacher, I simply help them discover the amazing treasures that they already possess within themselves.

My Project

The notebooks and the pens will be used for creative writing and song writing. Our young artist will be able to organize their thoughts and ideas as they prepare to create original materials such spoken word pieces and song lyrics.

This year we are focusing on effectively and visually documenting all of our young artist's performances and their artist journey/process.

The camcorder will aide in helping us capture all important moments. This is important because the young artist learn how to enhance their performances by reviewing each one in order to strengthen weakness as well as to highlight strengths.

The projector screen is for us to use when we are in the rooms that don't have one. We already have the project. Thank you in advance for supplying my young artist with the tools to take the to the next level!
