Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a curious, fun, and motivated group of second graders! It is a small, bilingual Spanish, special education class (12:1), comprised of students with different learning needs, including speech and language impairment, autism, and sensory deficits. They love participating in classroom lessons, but need a lot of modifications to classroom supplies in order to do so. Our school is located in a low-income, high-need community. I do as much as I can, but just can't afford to buy all of the supplies needed to help differentiate instruction and classroom materials to meet the needs of my struggling learners. Please help me give my students the gift of the love of reading by providing them by with new books to keep them engaged!
