Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creatives in the Kindergarten through fifth grade. They are from the South Bronx and study music with me once or twice a week.

We are raising money to have a compact set of xylophones and glockenspiels which would travel on a cart with me to each classroom and bring so much joy to our students!

I love these instruments because they are accessible to many different learners.

We hope you will help us by donating and/or spreading the word.

My Project

For music, I travel on a cart to each classroom. These xylophones and glockenspiels will fit perfectly into my music cart for kindergarten, first, and second grade in addition to providing more exciting ways for our students to explore musical concepts.

These instruments are super accessible in that they have the letter names labeled on top of each bar and are simple to play leaving room for creating music together.

I look forward to strengthening the musical foundation of our third, fourth, and fifth graders through the use of these instruments as well.
