My Project

Water is a precious commodity, especially in the desert southwest. Many homes, businesses, schools, and churches in the Las Vegas area have moved more towards xeriscape landscaping to help us conserve this important resource.

As a small, non-profit charter school, DCS has started transforming our campus grounds, little by little to be part of that conservation effort.

Most people think xeriscape or desert landscaping is dry, dusty, and sparse. In reality, it can be very lush and welcoming. We have desert trees and bushes on our campus grounds. And like other trees and bushes, they shed their canopy. Usually continually. Finances dictate that the majority of campus upkeep is handled by teaching staff, often before or after school hours. Having cordless leaf blowers would allow us to keep our campus clean and beautiful. Your assistance, care, and donation will enable us to spend more time teaching and showing our students the importance and joy of working to keep their environment lovely and safe.
