My Project

One of the biggest issues with my student population is simply a lack of resources and school supplies. I had to stop doing interactive notebooks because I couldn't reliably get enough notebooks for all students. This would allow them to work on their note-taking skills, summaries, and feedback that they can keep in one place. In all of my classes, I have at least three students who are English language learners, and having that consistent resource would really help them make sense of the class and stay connected to the material. The posters would then help share the information and do group projects, working on their collaboration skills. Finally, the speakers would be an upgrade over the current setup, with one broken and low volume. My school is underfunded and understaffed with a diverse population of students from all over the world. It would be great to provide students who are already at a disadvantage a chance to bridge the gap.
