My Students

My students are eager young learners who want to explore and learn. They bring a high level of energy and curiosity to the classroom. Many of them are English Language Learners, with diverse backgrounds, and they see learning as an opportunity to achieve and grow.

My students enjoy a challenge.

They are hardworking and determine to get the best education possible. They enjoy setting goals and My goal is to provide the support necessary for them to continue to achieve. Finally, I think my students are beautiful and they deserve the best education possible.

My Project

Many students find writing to be difficult. They spend a lot of time thinking about the topic and ideas that come across their minds. They use a lot of the assigned writing time erasing and becoming frustrated. The writing center will change the students perspective about writing. Students will be fascinated by the colorful paper, art supplies and writing space that they will be eager to write.

The writing center will provide a place where students can be free to explore his/her thinking and record them without wasting a lot of time.

The writing center will strengthened students’ ability to communicate across the curriculum. Students will build confidence to express their ideas, concerns and questions to further their personal understanding. My goal is foster young writers who are less intimidated by writing assignments. I want students to be happy during writing and be less intimidated. Writing should be viewed as an adventure in my classroom and the writing center will help to achieve that. Study after study suggests that students who are able to master writing skills early on struggle less in overall literacy and communicating.
