My Students

My students have a passion for growing friendships and learning all they can! We are a Title I school where the majority of our students participate in free and reduced-rate lunch. We love learning alongside one another!

The students who enter my classroom are already behind their more affluent peers in reading.

We are committed to growing our brains! My kids love exploring and stretching their schema to learn more about the world around them. The students and parents are enthusiastic about learning but do not have the tools (books, writing utensils, etc.) to work on reading and writing outside of school. With a longer school day, longer school year, and strategic planning, my students will make significant gains to leave first grade reading on grade level. I can't wait to see what they will do as they move along their educational journeys!

My Project

We work really hard to grow our brains in my classroom! Students need to receive quality feedback multiple times in every lesson in order to master key ideas. I check work completed on paper and white boards throughout lessons in my classroom and work to provide feedback to every student. This helps them make corrections and connections to the lesson! These writing tablets would allow for quick feedback to all students within multiple lessons throughout the day (while saving materials and eliminating paper use in our classroom).

Many of my students come to me below grade level and these tablets would allow me to give them in the moment feedback they truly need!

I want every student to feel successful in my classroom, and specific and individualized feedback is crucial to achieving this! With your support I will be able to ensure all students get the support they need!
