Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn and cannot wait to start the day. They care about each other and strive their hardest to perform the best way they can. The class is diverse with students from different parts of the community and are inclusive to all of the students that enter the classroom.

My Project

These materials will help to guide students with organization, using lines to write, using the proper colors when learning how to edit and add details their writing. These supplies will be used daily as they are writing and while they are learning to write again through the proper steps.

We need notebooks to practice every type of writing!

This classroom needs notebooks that are well organized writing notebooks that capture what they want to say through words and pictures. This will help all of the students with staying focused during the writing process. Having these notebooks will help students with not only what they write but it will help them to organize their thinking in a way that connects to what they were used to in first grade.

These notebooks will help them to focus while writing. Being that the students still need support in writing within the lines and knowing where to start their writing, these type of writing notebooks will allow students to write what they can physically in the space provided and will understand how each page can be a paragraph of their focused writing.

Each one will be used for students in the classroom. Through the writing process of planning: brainstorming, gathering information, thinking about the different parts of the story, drafting and revising, editing and publishing, students will use these supplies throughout the year.
