Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a dyslexia teacher who works with elementary students who struggle with Reading, Writing, and Spelling. Helping general education teachers prepare students for the state test is very important to me. So, I take this responsibility seriously and want to provide the resources, experience, and knowledge needed to have my students excel.

Putting words on paper is not a simple thing for my students.

Writing is an opportunity to express one's thoughts, feelings, wishes, fears, opinions, and ideas. The written word is a powerful tool, and I hope to instill love and confidence in my students' writing ability.

The pencils, erasers, highlighters, glue sticks, and various supplies in this project will help me support students as they identify parts of a sentence, break down run-on sentences, complete fragmented sentences, construct paragraphs, and piece multiple ideas into a well-written essay.
