My Students

Inquiring minds want to know and show! that's what first grade is all about. Nothing is better than seeing little minds at work. A school that supports the academic, social and emotional growth of the children through many avenues that support continuous growth no matter what obstacles may occur. Serving a high ELL and MLL population visual and verbal support is necessary in order to make learning more attainable.

While the students are developing a longer attention span they are more likely to stick with a project until it is done, or stick with a problem until it is solve and lots of practice is needed before writing and other small motor tasks can become automatic.

My Project

For the love of reading and writing, children need to connect to the real world between home and school, and what better way to show it, through writing! Learning how to express your ideas and thoughts allows you to have a voice daily and share it with your teacher, classmates and families.

Structured activities and open minded experiences provides students with access to all level of learning.

Our journals will provide our class with ways to begin their day with SEL learning, and gain access to skills necessary to flow through the day like writing effectively. Kids who are successful and happy in early grades are more likely to hold onto that confidence and motivation to keep learning.
