My Students

My students come to school every day excited and ready to learn! They are eager to learn and try new things. I want them to know that I believe in them and they can do anything! I teach at a Title 1, pre-k through 2nd-grade school in inner-city Ohio where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Most of the students are living at or below the poverty line. My students are creative, caring, and very energetic. Our classroom is a hands-on learning community. I work with children that are four and five year-olds.

Their ability to love learning excites me to find new and exciting ways to teach things to them.

They love to learn about new things. They love to look up information online together and will ask many questions to learn as much as they can.

My Project

My students need lots of help building their small motor skills. Handwriting develops at an early stage in pre-k. When they get the opportunity to practice their letters they develop stronger motor skills. These little learners need markers and dry erase boards to practice writing on.

My pre-k students need access to inspiring tools, innovative experiences, and a quality education so they can grow to be our next generation of leaders.

They also need an organizer for the writing center to keep all our supplies in the right place. It is a center that they use every day and it can get messy.

Writing is a process and my students need the skills and strategies to become lifelong learners. Building their self esteem and building their confidence is important and it possible with good writing activities.
