My Students

I am an instructor of the AP Research Class at my school. This school is in an urban area and most individuals do not expect students in an urban school at 11th grade to be undertaking an actual thesis paper, and presenting an oral defense of that paper. Well, that is what my students are actually doing.

I know this is a very important class because it gives my students an advantage that they would not have otherwise had to experience.

This makes these students very special to me because I have seen former students from my AP Research class send me papers (now in college) and these are specifically to thank me for the knowledge they gained from taking this class.

It is in keeping with the aforementioned information that I do think that my present students are very special and can garner the same benefits as those students passed have gained.

My Project

Having these manuals as a reference will give my students an advantage they would not otherwise have. These are not available as source material at my school and I would like to be able to provide them with this important tool.

The AP Research class is a College Board class and this being successful would give them added confidence that they can do tasks that others have told them they cannot.

A boost in confidence is one of the best GIFT that a teacher can give to students who do not believe they are capable of GREAT things.

The camera is needed to film interim presentations on the way to final presentation in defense of the research paper that will be submitted to College Board.
