My Project

The students at our school learn in various ways because they are from different parts of the autism spectrum. As Occupational Therapists (OT) in a school setting, we focus on developing the fine motor skills that are related to being a student. One way is by putting in place strategies for handwriting, hand/finger manipulation of objects, and if needed, providing sensory supports.

What makes occupational therapy special is that we address our students' goals through play and sensory-based activities.

The best part is, they are gaining skills and they don't even know it! These fun writing tools will help students maintain a good writing position.

Our OT team greatly appreciates any donations towards making the Occupational Therapy room a fun and inviting place to learn.
