My Project

We are a small, rural, title 1 elementary school. We are currently using almost every professional development day this school year to delve deeply into the new Illinois Literacy Plan to make sure we're using best-practices across the board in literacy.

One of our most important areas that we want to improve includes instructional practices to teach writing.

It's both a complex and important skill for our students, and we want to make sure we get it right.

We would use these Jennifer Seravallo books to guide whole-group instruction, small-group differentiation, and even one-on-one support. It would equip teachers with what they need to be successful; therefore, making students successful as well.
