I am a first grade teaching in a rural area. I have 20 fabulous students that had a rough start the beginning of the year until I came and took over the classroom.

I took over this classroom about 4 weeks after the school session started. The students had 3 substitutes before I became their stable environment. The classroom had nothing, but a few curriculum items. I have been adding things to the classroom slowly for the students to feel the warmth and the community that we have built in this room, but everyone knows how hard it is for a teacher to purchase everything that is needed.

Writing is a key concept in the classroom. I am a first grade teacher and I enjoy teaching the skills of writing to my children. My students are vibrant and eager to learn more. Sometimes the daily desk work gets boring, so having a writing center would be important to make a small writing area where we can make it warm feeling. As well as large groups, I enjoy having small groups when I teach a writing skill, especially since my students are at different levels. It would be amazing to set up a fabulous and comfortable writing center to enhance the children's writing skills.

You will make it possible for my students to feel empowered and learn the art of writing through a wonderful writing center that can give us various techniques to introduce to the children.
