My Project

I will have 18 Kindergarten students this year that will come to me eager to learn to read and write! We have been needing a writing center table with some letter writing activities to keep kids learning after whole group time.

Writing skills for Kindergarten are learned best through having fun in a learning center.

Having a writing center with supplies at the kids reach will encourage my young writers to want to write more often.

My kids need a space to practice their writing skills during learning centers. We will use the writing table and the supplies as the kids rotate through centers. I will have 2 students at a time sitting at the writing center using it as a quiet place to write. They will be able to access writing practice pages as well as the write and trace letter and number cards. The kids will be able to use the write the letter activity and practice writing their letters at the writing table. This will give them a place to enhance what they have learned in whole group.

Kindergarten students learn best through play and having this center in our room will have a big impact on all 18 students this year!
