Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A day in my classroom includes lots of partner and group work. It also includes lots of reading, book discussions, story writing, and writing to respond to our reading.

My students are curious learners and great communicators.

They enjoy reading and discussing their reading. They also love to write and illustrate stories online and using paper and pencil. In the final quarter of school, they will be engaged in using the writing they've done this year to publish their own books.

My Project

These materials will be used during our writing and reading workshop. At this time in the year, we are running very low on pencils and paper. We have been busy writing, revising, and editing our stories. We have also refined our discussions on books we read.

When our classroom supplies begin to diminish, we must change the things we have our students work on.

I would like for my students to continue writing narratives and informational text. I also want them to continue writing their responses to what they are reading. These supplies will allow this.
