My Project

In my English Language Arts class students are primarily reading and writing on a variety of topics. My students are writers who have stories and information to share. During our Writer's Workshop period, students come to class prepared to draft a story, revise, edit and publish their work. In the Reader's Workshop, students check-out and check-in books from the class library. During this period, students enjoy their independent reading time. Additionally, supplies such as chart paper and a laminator to help protect paper and posters that hang in the classroom are necessary to the classroom.

The printed page is still relevant in the classroom.

I want to bring back the energy, passion, and creativity that should exist in the Writer’s and Reader's Workshops. Our Writer's Workshop needs toner for the printer for students to print their assignments, diagrams and posters for classroom display. The printer is also used to celebrate student achievements with custom certificates and awards.

Additionally, our classroom library has a plethora of reading material. The bean bag chairs will provide comfortable seating for students who are there to enjoy a good book. Your donation will help to improve the life of our Writer's Workshop and Reader's Workshop.
