My Project

In my first grade classroom, building strong handwriting and phonics skills is essential for early literacy development. To help my students master these foundational skills, I am requesting dry erase boards with handwriting lines and dry erase boards with sound boxes. These interactive tools will provide my students with hands-on, engaging practice that can be used over and over again without the need for endless amounts of paper.

The lined dry erase boards will help my students improve their handwriting by giving them clear guidelines to form their letters properly.

This repeated practice is key to developing neat, legible handwriting, which will boost their confidence in both writing and reading activities.

The dry erase boards with sound boxes are an excellent tool for phonics instruction. Sound boxes allow students to break words into their individual sounds, which is a critical skill for decoding new words. By using these boards to visually and physically map out words, my students will deepen their understanding of phonemic awareness and phonics, which are crucial steps toward becoming fluent readers.

With these tools, my students will have a fun and interactive way to practice writing and phonics every day, helping to build their literacy skills in an engaging way.
