This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students need to demonstrate their expertise at conducting clinical interviews but need the supplies, equipment, and technology to make it happen.
My students attend a large urban high school.
They are highly motivated at our public school and we have a very strong college culture. Our school has a medical focus which allows students to take a psychology class and learn the research skills of clinical interviewing.
My Project
The MP3 recorder will allow the students to all share one recording device and then load the sound files onto our school computers. Students can then present their oral histories to the class and present their written abstracts as well. These resources along with the Mobil cart will allow our materials to travel as they share with other classrooms due to the increase in students at our school.
This project will allow my students to demonstrate that they have acquired the skills of clinical interviews.
The recording and writing abstracts of their oral histories will allow us to practice our interview skills and to master the subject matter!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
