Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are becoming writers, a very exciting development to observe! Sadly, many do not have the tools they need to participate in classroom activities in math, spelling, vocabulary, reading, and of course, WRITING!

My students are highly motivated yet challenged by the rigors of language acquisition, the disadvantages of lower economic status, and the resultant instability of these trials.

Just like all families, the parents of my students want nothing but the best for their children, and have big aspirations for the future. I hope to enable the success of each and every student with the help of your generous donation.

My Project

Writing is a proven pathway to higher learning. By creating self-published books, comic strips, reports, posters, poetry anthologies, stories, etc., with the tools they you provide, my students can express their imaginative ideas on paper. Of course, without a sharp pencil to get those rough drafts rolling, all would be lost! An efficient, durable pencil sharpener would allow hours of wonderful wordplay to occur each and every day. I hope to see some enthusiastic effort to produce wonderful writing and exceptional illustrations in bold and beautiful colors with our new markers and colored pencils!

Remember your first day of school, your new backpack bursting with bright, shiny new pencils, art supplies and colorful markers?

Wouldn't you just love to share that special feeling with some deserving kids? All we want is a chance to write and publish our work in style. Won't you help us out? Thanks for your generosity and support!
