My Project

My students are wonderful kindergarten-second grade children who come to school bright eyed and eager to learn on a daily basis. The students in my class are in an ACES (Academic, Career, and Essential Skills) program and are classified with multiple disabilities including Down Syndrome, Angelman Syndrome, autism, and multiple/intellectual disabilities. Our classroom is filled with joy, laughter, growth, and a love of learning!

Our classroom teaching easel is very old and no longer erases, making visual support during lessons a challenge.

We need a new easel to make learning time effective and visually pleasing. Additionally, our classroom underwent construction this summer and some items have gone missing, including sensory floor tiles. These tiles are calming for my students who have sensory needs and I would love to be able to replace them. It is my goal to set my students up for a successful school year, and these items will make our classroom a place for children to learn, grow, and thrive.
