Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My loving, caring, responsible little first graders are from a low-income area. Our school truly strives to find the leader in every single student. Each one of my 20 students all have the talents and strengths to succeed, but sometimes it takes little extra exposure for those who never experienced something or even just feel positive motivation.

All the students in my class strive for knowledge in every content area and want to just be overall successful citizens in their community.

My Project

I want all my students to be enthusiastic learners. The pre-sharpened pencils will allow the students quick access to a pencil to be prepared for a day of work and not worry about missing instruction because the pencils are ready in the back sharpened.

The markers and index cards are to be used for the students to be able to create their personal word wall for words that they made need and will learn to write on their own and will be a reference tool for them.

As a teacher, I want to build independent learners which is why the cards will also be used for a whole class word wall.
