Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am excited to welcome 28 fifth graders into my Title 1 classroom this September. They are all unique and special, coming from different countries, cultures and speaking different languages. They bring these and their experiences together to form one classroom.

All of my students want to learn and succeed, they just need to have the tools to do so.

They deserve to have the dream classroom that meets their needs and supports them as they overcome the many challenges that face them.

My Project

Remember being in elementary school and sharpening our pencils with the crank sharpener on the wall? I need to be able to make those memories for my students by helping them with their needed supplies. My students should not feel discouraged because they do not have supplies. I teach responsibility and the importance of coming to school prepared. There are some situations that are unfortunately outside of my students' control.

We spend much of our day in fifth grade writing.

This project will allow the students to have all that they need to succeed with pencils, a sharpener, erasers and paper.
