Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is located in the Bronx, where students are as unique and special as they come. Different backgrounds, varied interests, unpredictable home lives, and educational performance levels calls upon us teachers to give it all we got! I currently teach as a self contained teacher in a 4th and 5th grade classroom.

My students keep me giggling and on my toes consistently, and I do my best to ensure they have materials and experience that assistance them learn and succeed.

My Project

While it is possible to use different colored chart paper, colored chart paper can be extremely difficult for students to see. Whiteboards offer a rainbow of color opportunities that can allow me to separate information and make it easier for students to understand what is on the board. Students will have the opportunity to use the whiteboards in small groups, where they can each have a whiteboard to interact with the teacher.

Teaching and learning is fun and with the use of colorful markers and individual whiteboards, students can become more engaged and interactive within the lesson and in small groups.
