Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Enthusiastic teacher in need of a classroom set of dry erase boards and dry erase markers to enhance student learning. I am an 8th grade math teacher specializing in Pre-Algebra and Algebra courses at a low-income, high-need middle school that is facing another year of little-to-no money in the budget for classroom supplies.

Each year, our students come to a sub-par middle school hoping to learn necessary skills for their future. With a lack of monetary funds in our budget, I feel unable to provide them these skills. A majority of our students are on free or reduced lunch program and therefore are unable to acquire basic supplies such as paper and pencil.

I need a classroom set of dry erase boards and dry erase markers to engage my students in daily classroom activities. With these dry erase boards, students will be able to actively participate in math problems and show the answers to the teacher. This will give me an assessment of their understanding of the material while providing students with a fun and exciting way to show me their answers.

You will make it possible for my students to become part of the math class instead of being just a spectator. Please help my students get involved in their class and have fun while learning math!!
