This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school offers a before and after school enrichment program for students whose parents need to go to work early in the morning and not available after dismissal. These parents work hard for their families. They would like to make sure that their kids are safe until 5:30 in the afternoon. All of our students received free lunch.
Students do their homework and receive extra help in their lessons during our enrichment program.
Our students work hard to improve their grades. They try their best to understand their lessons by enhancing their potential and abilities.
My Project
Louisiana's climate is usually warm. When the winter season starts, our students could hardly cope-up with the change of temperature. We have plenty of students missing school time because they got sick. Most of our students come to school without using proper clothing.
Please provide our students with a jacket this season!
Help them feel that there are people who care for them! Have them experience that people are concerned about them! Have them realize that they are loved!
Your support will help our students feel warm in coming to school. They won't be exposed to the cold weather and they won't miss school!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
