My students are a bright bunch who have tried hard to navigate the ever changing demands of school during a pandemic. They work hard, are curious and love it when we do things in class that are interactive and thought provoking.
My Project
This project will help engage my students in our lessons and strengthen my expectations in the classroom. I am finding since the pandemic has started, students struggle with their stamina, as well as their active participation in learning. I am hoping with some new, fun materials and supplements, these can aid in amping up their excitement for learning, and to increase student engagement. All of the items requested would play a role in engaging my class and would provide different methods of learning and active participation. For example, the coin drop game would be used during test reviews to increase student participation and Guess Who? Would be used to practice vocabulary words and morphology. These past two years have been hard on my students, and I am hoping by using these materials, it will help them look forward to coming to school.
