My Project

While headphones may seem ubiquitous with a high school student's existence nowadays, the issue of using those headphones for educational purposes still persists. Connecting across brands (looking at you, Apple) and devices, keeping them charged, or remembering to have them altogether can create frustrating and time-consuming barriers to learning.

The ability to hear directions, texts, and questions read aloud on will help to improve my students' understanding and connection to both what they are currently learning and what they already know.

With these headphones available, students will be able to hear pertinent information read aloud and repeated if they need. Rather than wait to ask for help, they can utilize tools and extensions already embedded in laptops and browsers to help them figure out where they are and what they need to do next. This is especially important for students with disabilities that may need additional support in processing language input. Your contribution to this cause will help our students every day when reading - whether that's a text we're using or a test question that is ensuring their comprehension of a skill or topic they need to be successful in class.
