My Students

My students range from ninth through twelfth grade. They are all hard workers who need support with all areas of academics. Forty-two percent of my students are on the free or reduced price lunch program.

They make my day a worthy use of time.

I enjoy their wit, their ability to see life in different ways, their creative thoughts being shared on a page, their ability to learn from their mistakes and their ability to move forward with new insight. I see a change in their attitudes when they are proud of their work.

My Project

Currently, we are using a hybrid learning plan. Each student has their own basket to ensure their supplies (folders, dry erase markers, calculators etc) are kept separate and clean. On distance learning days, they need Chromebooks at home to complete their work and meet with their classroom teachers.

Classes started a week ago and we are all scrambling to make this year normal and still make it unique and memorable for our students.

Although we can't change what is going outside the classroom, we can make the classroom a safe place where our students can feel special, cared for, and worthy of possibilities.
