Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn and providing them with the right materials is imperative. During this school year the students are going to be expose to worldwide history through art enabling them to learn about different cultures such as the Egyptian, African, Native American and European culture.

I work in a tittle one school where monetary resources are very limited and planning for classroom projects for 300 students is very stressful.

For many of my students, this is the first year they will be expose to art. They are exited to know that they will learn about worldwide history through art. This class will enhance their cultural knowledge by exposing them to different cultures other than their community.

My Project

My students need supplies such as oil pastels to make totems, gems to make Egyptian jewelry art, masks to create African masks, feathers to make Native American masks, and dough tools and clay to create Greek vases, as well as paper mâché to do make piñatas and musical instruments.

This will enable my students to learn about other cultures and the importance art has in their lives. They will be able to compare and constant how people live around the world. This will give students an ability to understand why people create specific art base on their culture.
