My Project

My classroom services over 30 ENL students who are new to the United States. They are seen every day. Providing them with a welcoming environment that is conducive to learning is a main priority of mine. My younger students would especially benefit from having this alternative seating option available during lessons. Sitting at tables all day long is not an appropriate expectation of young elementary school learners. This would change all that in my room! Having a learning area that depicts the entire world will also help to foster a sense of inclusivity in the classroom. My students are always very eager to share their cultures and home countries with each other. This would provide one more opportunity for the students to see themselves represented in the room.
