My Project

Our school is adopting a STEM initiative and trying to incorporate hands on STEM learning across all content areas. I am a special education co-teacher and absolutely love the opportunities that social studies provides for STEM learning. We have already designed Stone Age tools and built ziggurats using the engineering design process and are about to step into the world of Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome.

The students would absolutely love the opportunity to build a pyramid and the colosseum with the Lego architect sets.

They would also love having the ability to design and build their own version of ancient buildings using the classic bricks. This will be especially fun with Ancient Greece as they won’t have an exemplar Lego set and will have to really plan and design.
