My Project

My students in grades 4-6 will greatly benefit from the Meta Quest 3 virtual reality headset. Virtual Reality (VR) has become increasingly popular over the past couple of years, and has now made its way into the classroom. What better way to engage students than to introduce them to the endless possibilities of VR?

With this equipment my students would have the chance to visit the planets in our solar system as we learn about outer space.

They can tour the rainforest as we complete a unit on ecosystems. They can be part of numerous experiments and locations that they may not ever get to experience in real life. The possibilities are endless!

My goal for this project is to help my students become more immersed and excited in the curriculum. I want my students to have a chance to have interactive and meaningful experiences while at school. Textbooks and computers have been a great source in the past, but in this digital age, VR headsets take students to that extra mile.

My students live in a very small town with a high low-income rate, so their access to bigger things is not always possible. Many of the students that I teach have never even left the state! It would be very rewarding to give them the opportunity to explore not only the world, but the universe!
