Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I love that my students are energetic and excited about learning! They love to learn new things and read about different people who may or may not have some of the same experiences that they may have.

The materials that I have selected will help me to provide more opportunities for students to learn about and relate to people who look and think like they do!

This year we are hoping to get students to redevelop a love for reading and to read for pleasure!

The books will be used by my students for independent reading sessions and during small group sessions with myself. It is a goal to help all of my students develop a love of reading regardless of their reading level or abilities.
