My Students

Everyday we work on following directions, giving directions, problem solving, and working together. Help the students in this classroom continue to learn these skills by using Dot and Dash from Makewonder.

The students in this classroom range from 14 to 21 years old.

Each student has a disability ranging from mild to severe. The students participate in classes with their peers and specialized classes to help them become integrated members of their community. The school has roughly 1200 students.

My Project

The students love to use iPads within the classroom. They learn, participate in activities, and create new things. The "Wonder Workshop Dash and Dot" will allow the student to learn to program robots to do things within the classroom. The programming starts with very simple drawing for Dash to follow to learning to create their own music using the accessory pack.

The students can share what they are learning and teach other students to control Dash and Dot.

They learn problem solving skills when the robots don't do what they want. We work on language skills when programming using the block software. The students are getting STEM activities within a fun and secure environment.
