Working Towards an Immersive Classroom

Help me give my students materials for a more flexible seating classroom. I will be working towards creating an immersive classroom in our language class, like having a coffee shop atmosphere to encourage greater usage of the language.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having flexible seating that is always space-saving will help keep our classroom tidy and spacious. Having a side table will help center groups and provide a space to store their clipboards and whiteboards so that students can easily access their supplies. Having these supplies and furniture will also help with minimizing transitions between activities.

Creating our classroom into an immersive environment will encourage the students to use the French language more often.

It will help them experience situations in which they will use the new language they are learning, giving context and making connections between language and culture.
