My students are as diverse as their needs. My students are eager to learn and full of energy. I teach at a rural Title I school. 100% of the district students receive free breakfast and lunch. My student population includes foster situations, one parent or both parents who are incarcerated, grandparents raising grandchildren, emotional needs, and those who learn differently.
I have students whose basic needs are met and those that are not.
Counseling, clothing, school supplies, and extra-curricular opportunities are available to try to reach all our families.
My Project
Have you ever tried to learn by hearing multiple videos playing at the same time? Well, it's impossible. Working headphones are rare in a middle school classroom.
Many of my students cannot afford to buy their own headphones.
This project will help provide all my students the ability to hear their computers without disturbing their classmates.
My students are very diverse in their abilities. Lessons have to be presented multiple ways and at different levels. Having headphones will help me to teach each student at their ability level without disturbing others.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
